Robby graduated as a chartered physiotherapist from Cardiff University in 1993. He then worked in the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield, UK where he worked on the Stroke unit, medical wards and Musculo skeletal physiotherapy.
Following this, in the USA, he worked as a home care physiotherapist before specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
He completed further part time post graduate study in the Institute of Healthcare Professionals in Massachusetts General Hospital.
On return to Ireland Robby worked in the South Eastern health board in outpatients and orthopaedics. In 2000 he established Robby and Clare Lodge Physiotherapy where he now works full time.
In 2009 Robby completed his Master of Science degree in Sports Physiotherapy at UCD. He was lead Physiotherapist for Kilkenny Senior hurling team from 2001-2010.
Since then he has worked with numerous club hurling teams and athletes from athletics to Zumba. He has also worked with patients with chronic pain and neurological conditions.
