Clare graduated as a chartered physiotherapist from Cardiff University in 1993. She completed her 2 year hospital rotation in the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield before specialising in Musculoskeletal medicine.
She furthered her studies whilst working in Boston Massachusetts USA as a post graduate student in Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Care Professionals in advanced orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
On return to Ireland in 2000 she completed her Sports Medicine MSc in UCD whilst setting up practice in Stoneyford.
At the same time she commenced a lecturing post in IT Carlow on the BSc Sports Rehabilitation Athletic 4 year programme, where she still lectures on 3rd and 4th year modules on the same course.
In 2010 Clare received her clinical doctorate in Physiotherapy from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Care Professionals.
Clare has recently received her Diplomate membership for the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons UK, through examination.
She has vast clinical experience in treating sports medicine conditions and has worked with amateur and elite athletes and sports teams in her 28 years of practice.
